FRIDAY

Over at the Turf, National Bird will be celebrating their CD release with BNLX and Wizards are Real. Check out our profile of the band here. 21+. $5.

On the other side of the spectrum, Melissa Etheridge is playing a show at the O'Shaughnessy Auditorium tonight. She looks even better than she did in the '90s! 8PM.

SATURDAY

The Turf Club is holding a fundraiser for Leisure Bird frontman Jake Luck's new record store, and the lineup is a rock-solid one. Haunted House, Velvet Davenport, Voytek, Camden, Come Fizzy Dolphin with DJs Jenn from Hot Roxx and Bennett from Daughters of the Sun play. 9PM, Turf Club.

Chromeo play First Avenue, neon ensues. (Read our interview with P-Thugg here.) Plenty of time to still party. First Avenue, 7PM.

SUNDAY

Slightly Stoopid will be getting mentally-challenged at the Cabooze, 5:30PM. There's an afterparty, at the Cabooze. Which seems more like just um, the show.

Cadillac vs. Cornbread bang out their old-timey jimmyjams at the Nomad. Slug some grain alcohol and anticipate a tough Monday morn. Nomad, 10PM.
