Be still, my teenage angst-heavy heart. News hit yesterday afternoon that A Perfect Circle, Maynard James Keenan of Tool's side project with former Smashing Pumpkin James Iha and omnipresent session drummer Josh Freese (Devo, Weezer, the Vandals, etc), among others, will re-emerge for a short tour and perform their entire catalog live.

The band will perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 27, followed by three-night stands featuring front-to-back performances of their albums Mer de Noms, Thirteenth Step, and Emotive in five separate cities (Phoenix, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, and Las Vegas). The dates have yet to be officially announced, so it's possible more could be added down the road... including, fingers crossed, some stops in the Midwest.

In an interview with SPIN.com, Keenan warns against labeling their shows a "reunion tour."

"[That] would imply we broke up," he says. "Which we didn't. So. I'm officially breaking up A Perfect Circle. Now. Let's get that reunion tour in motion, shall we?"
