The Sex Rays debut at Palmer's this Thursday

Categories: Concert Preview
Local music writer and lover, KFAI DJ, and show booker extraordinaire Cyn Collins has an intriguing bill lined up at Palmer's this Thursday night featuring brand new local garage rockers the Sex Rays. The band has posted a few tracks on their MySpace page, and Cyn gives the group a ringing endorsement: "The Sex Rays are cool, in a '60s/'70s way," she says. "Best described as Sex Pistols meets Link Wray, they play rock 'n' roll party music."

The new band comprises Joe Hastings (Hastings 3000, ex-Fuck Knights), Joe Holland (Fuck Knights) and Ben Crunk, and Thursday night's show at Palmer's will be their second show ever.

The Sex Rays headline, alongside country-fried openers Red Daughters and four-piece garage rockers Anonymus. 21+. 9:30 p.m. $3 cover.
