Earlier this month, jazz trio the New Standards (featuring the Suburbs' Chan Poling, Semisonic and the Twilight Hours' John Munson, and vibraphonist Steve Roehm) held down three nights at the Fitzgerald Theater for the Current's annual holiday show.

City of Music director Dan Huiting filmed the Fitzgerald shows, and he was kind enough to share one of the songs with us for this week's holiday-themed City of Music video, featuring a cover of Munson's former band Trip Shakespeare's "Snow Days" and surprise appearance by his former Trip bandmate (and current Twilight Hours collaborator) Matt Wilson.

For more from the New Standards holiday show at the Fitzgerald, tune into 89.3 the Current this Friday night (Christmas Eve) at 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Christmas morning for a broadcast of the entire performance.
