Just a few days ago, we were musing over the melding of two disparate local music worlds that was set to take place at the 501 Club this Saturday night; MC/VL's final show was moved to the 501 after being bumped from the temporarily shuttered Turf Club, cramming their four-band lineup onto a bill already occupied by Curtiss A and the Jerks of Fate.

Curtiss A and Co. were set to perform an Elvis Presley tribute set in honor of the King's birthday. Unfortunately, we just learned that his performance has now been postponed .

Are you keeping up with all of this?

To recap, you can find MC/VL playing their last show ever at the 501 Club's last show ever this Saturday, January 8, with openers Pink Mink, Slapping Purses, and Kitten Forever. Admission is $7 and the show is 21+.

The Curtiss A & Friends Elvis Presley Birthday Celebration will be moved to the 331 Club on Friday, February 4, as part of the Freewheelin' First Friday series. That show is 21+ and free.
