Southern Songbook returns this Valentine's Day

​Screw Hallmark cards. This February 14, I can't think of a better way to kill an evening than with a night filled with "Valentine-ish subject matter sung by some of the best purveyors of melancholia around." That's how Adam Levy is describing his next installment of the Southern Songbook, his new series of collaborative nights at the Southern Theater, which returns this coming Monday with a whole new round of guests.

For the V-Day show, Levy will co-host with Dave Campbell and invite musicians John Munson, Aby Wolf, Grant Cutler, Darren Jackson, Alicia Wiley, Holly Newsom, Alexei Casselle, Chastity Brown, Kristian Melom, and Ryan Paul to share the stage (yes, all throughout the course of one show), with the omnipresent musicians from Heiruspecs serving as the house band for the evening.

Lily Troia of Invisible Button Entertainment posted this teaser video of Grant Cutler, Aby Wolf, and deVon Gray of Heiruspecs rehearsing for next week's show, and it just about sealed the deal that this is going to be a memorable night.
