​Our sister paper, the Village Voice, typically hosts a free day party during SXSW, and the lineups have been pretty fantastic -- last year brought together the xx, Superchunk, Surfer Blood, and more. But this year, they are cranking up the cool factor by moving the showcase into the evening and decking out the bill with some straight-up legendary acts.

Presented in concert with Frank 151, this year's party features the Wu-Tang Clan, Fishbone, Yelawolf, Trae Tha Truth, Marx Lovejoy, Rocky Business, Trouble Andrew, Wild Flag, Ume, and a DJ set from Erykah Badu.

The Village Voice SXSW party happens Thursday, March 17, from 5 p.m.-2 a.m. at the Austin Music Hall. All ages, free.
