Radiohead newspaper 'The Universal Sigh' coming to two Minneapolis locations next week

Leave it to Radiohead to do something this random: Next week, to coincide with the physical release of their new album, The King of Limbs, the band will distribute free copies of a Radiohead-produced newspaper titled The Universal Sigh to 60 different locations around the world. And, somewhat unbelievably, two of the 60 locations are in Minneapolis.

At 1 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon the newspaper will be distributed at the Varsity Theater in Dinkytown (1308 4th St. SE) and Calhoun Square in Uptown (3001 Hennepin Ave. S.).

Radiohead have set up a website dedicated to the project, noting that "lucky owners of the gratis tabloid are invited to post pictures of themselves and their friends reading the newspaper in locations diverse and unusual. There will be other stuff too, but we haven't thought of it yet."

The site also lists a couple of disclaimers:

This newspaper IS NOT the newspaper that accompanies the Newspaper Album version of The King of Limbs.

This event WILL NOT be repeated.

This event IS NOT a live performance by Radiohead.

That last point is oh-so-tantalizing. Pretty sure they tacked that on there just to torment us.
