Walker Fields offer up new live album for free download

​Though they just released their first full-length album last summer, the Woody Guthrie-inspired Walker Fields have already recorded a live follow-up full-length, and they are giving away the entire thing for free online.

I've always been a fan of lead singer Brad Senne's work (read an interview I conducted with him back in 2009); as a solo artist, lead singer of Beight, and with Walker Fields, Senne has shown an incredible talent for songwriting and an ability to ply a variety of roots-based styles.

On the new live album, recorded at the Aster Cafe on St. Anthony Main, Senne is joined by Anthony Ihrig on banjo and dobro, and the result is a dusky, stomping performance of Guthrie songs and original tunes reminiscent of a softer Charlie Parr.
