Minnesota Twins music director Dan Edwards works some Auto-Tuned Minnesotans into the mix

With the criticism of the new Minnesota Twins music director Dan Edwards reaching a deafening roar on social media networks, it sounds like Edwards finally took note of some of the feedback that's been flung his way.

Last night, as hail pelted down on the attendees at Target Field, Edwards mixed into two local songs: Owl City's smash hit "Fireflies" and Quietdrive's cover of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time," which the Star Tribune's Chris Riemenschneider points out are "the only two Minnesota recordings of the past decade to receive Top 40 radioplay."

It turns out you can't lead a horse to fresh water, but you can make it drink out of the closest end of its tepid trough.

More than the fact that he doesn't play Minnesota artists is the fact that he has ZERO flow. While I was there on Tuesday's game and listening during the delay, I heard him mash through 5 different genres of music. First country, then current Pop, then 90s alternative and a mix of a couple others I can't classify right now.You'd think someone who works for a radio station would understand musical flow, but apparently he'd rather play songs from a tween's iPod on random....

Does anybody go to the ballpark to hear overplayed Top 40 crap either? I know several people who visited Target Field last year and were thrilled by the unique musical flavor...and obviously thought enough about it to comment on it. I doubt they would be as excited about the latest lame Ke$ha or BEPs offering. I say we keep beating his dead horse til something changes.

Why are you so obsessed with this? Who really gives a crap what music they play at games? What about what they play at Target Field is any different from any other stadium in the country? Any other ballpark in the country I've been to plays top 40 style stuff. I can't imagine too many people go to a Twins game because they're dying to hear something by a local artist. You're there to watch the game and the music is just background noise. Not trying to be overly harsh, but these constant posts about this just seem kind of overdone already.

Will the Twins please just bring back Kevin Dutcher already? The Twins awful record combined with Dan Edwards' terrible music is enough to turn anyone into a Lynx fan for the rest of the summer.
