It was a case of mistaken identity. He thought Andrea was the one drivin' 'round town with the girl he loves.

I think it is funny that CeeLo implied a great heterosexual male stigma; to be a hetero male you must like dergoatory sexual banter. Gaff. He just made himself look like an idiot and this was also the opinion of his publicist since his twitter account was deleted. CeeLo is a talented musician but it is sad that he would take something of no correlation, a writer critiquing his performance, and use it to fuel a personal attack. He needs to grow thicker skin (and lose the soul patch) if he wants to stay in the music industry. Maybe his new stardom is too much for him to handle. I bet the two gay contestants on his team for The Voice were disappointed at his statements. Way to lose fans CeeLo!

To those who didn't find his unnecessary stage banter to be hetero-normative, though not homophobic, (and inappropriate for an all ages audience), lesbians also get wet in their foreplay. There is just no rationalization to be made.

The 1st tweet is weird and uncalled for. The 2nd tweet is not an apology for the first tweet.  I wish people if they screwed up and said something in the heat of the moment just apologize.  What is so hard about admitting a mistake.  We humans have a high threshold for forgiveness if the person asking for forgiveness is genuine and sincere.

This was so dumb that it's almost a non-issue. Cee Lo needs to grow up a little, it looks like. Andrea, although it's also used for males, is generally more of a Femme name. I'd know because my name is Andrea.

Apparently he thinks that no female alive would find his 'wet' speech a bit much and automatically assumed that the chick was a gay dude. Derp. Lookin' dumb, bud. Real dumb. Probably nothing to make a big fuss over, but still. Just dumb.

I think you went to this concert as a mother would go as a chaperone with her only daughter who is going to see a concert for the first time. Cee Lo Green is a fantastic performer with outrageous colorful outfits that make him stand out colorfully with fun and charisma. He is anything but boring. His profanity was correct for the venue especially if your opening for an act by a singer named Rihanna who named her newest CD S & M. You vented that Cee Lo wouldn’t allow any photos well that is a well known fact for any concert or Broadway Play. Why make it seem that his reminder of photos is something out of the ordinary. Maybe you haven’t heard about Patti LuPone stopping  her Broadway run of Gypsy because of a photographer. Picture taking in dark areas shoot off a lot of light into the performer’s eyes and can distract their performance and timing in case you haven’t heard.As far as Cee Lo Green tweeting that you must be gay; you took that tweet like paparazzi would take a bad photograph and ran with it to promote yourself mainly but to grab headlines that you thought the gay community would be offended by. This shows you know nothing about the LBGT community. I and my partner of 26 years love Cee Lo Green, his 2 gay contenders on The Voice, his wit, vulgarity and frankness. So Andrea Swensson, no points or anger from this gay man, his partner and all our gay friends. No points on ridiculing Cee Lo Green’s performance before Rihanna’s show. No points for chaperoning your daughter while the whole crowd enjoyed the show. No points for stretching this story as far as you can get it which you’ll find will wind back up on your own lap. Maybe you’d be better as a stuck up Broadway critic like the well disliked Vincent Canby from The New York Times; just don’t see anything comic, adult or musical. For you and reviewing music here are your 15 seconds of fame. I hope you enjoy them as you find yourself recanting this story for the rest of your life as your claim to fame. Not here darling!

Did he even bother to read your review or did someone just off-handedly tell him they dissed him. Clearly women are not allowed to write music reviews in Cee-Lo's world which is why he says "FUCK YOU" in his songs instead of maybe taking time to listen to women and understand their lecherous needs.

I think the gay comment is just another distraction. It might be why he wears such crazy outfits as well. Maybe he really doesn't have that much talent, and is using controversy to distract people from the truth. Whatever the case he can't take critique very well, which is pretty important when you want to be noticed so much.

I dance routinely at local gay bars, have had my run ins with same sex fun, and have more than a few gay friends......I honestly have to say though that as a black woman who is constantly being "actually" offended by the world as a whole...I'm getting pretty tired of gay people whining and complaining everytime someone bounces their bananas.

ugh.  CeeLo definitely though you were male since he referred to you as "he" in a subsequent tweet.  so he's multitasking with sexist AND homophobic remarks simultaneously.  i love his music but whether or not he thinks of himself as sexist/homophobic his comment came from a place of ignorance and bias.  bummer.

If you're insulted by being called gay, then you're just as homophobic as the person saying it.
