Paul McCartney a no-go at Target Field

Paul McCartney is embarking on a small tour of U.S. outdoor stadiums this summer, but contrary to what was initially reported to us by a concert promoter earlier this month, that tour will not include a stop at Target Field.

Officials at the Twins stadium have confirmed that a tweet sent out by the organization's president David St. Peter citing "scheduling challenges" is, in fact, the final word on the matter.

There will be no Paul McCartney show at Target Field in '11. Scheduling challenges for Sir Paul. Still hoping to bring concert to TF soon.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck Favorite Retweet Reply

McCartney's "On the Run" tour will still hit Yankee Stadium July 15-16; Comerica Park in Detroit, MI on July 24; Bell Centre, Montreal, Canada on July 26; Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL on July 31; and the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, OH on August 4.

I don’t read this article this much, but I prefer to say that Paul has the only legitimate answer to this ridiculousness. Thanks for sharing.
