With tickets on sale this morning for his much-anticipated show at Yankee Stadium, Sir Paul McCartney is unveiling a string of U.S. stadium dates that will bring him to Target Field in Minneapolis for the stadium's first ever public concert on September 1.
McCartney's Yankee Stadium show is already an historic event given that the Beatles never played there -- they famously performed at Shea Stadium to throngs of hysteric teenagers in 1965 -- and now McCartney's tour appears to be intent on breaking more new ground.
McCartney will perform at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on July 15, Comerica Park in Detroit on July 24, Wrigley Field in Chicago on July 31 and August 1, and Target Field in Minneapolis on September 1. More tour dates are expected to be announced soon, as will ticket information for the Target Field show.
