Ticket giveaway: Bootsy Collins at First Avenue

Funk has a friend in Bootsy Collins, one of the most flamboyant and flashy "funk 'n' roll" musicians around. Playing bass with James Brown in the late-'60s and then beaming up to the Mothership to join Parliament-Funkadelic in the '70s, Collins has made a career out of mastering the groove, and his show at First Avenue this Thursday should be a treat for old and new funk fans alike.
