Low release NYC subway-themed 'Especially Me' video

Longtime audio/visual collaborators Low and local film and video director Phil Harder have churned out another stunning masterpiece together. The new clip for "Especially Me" -- from this year's C'Mon, the band's 9th full length release -- features vocalist/drummer Mimi Parker aboard a New York City subway as part of a similar slow-motion stop action motif that the band and director have used in past work.

The solitude and randomness of subway travel is contrasted with the hugeness of the city and constant speed big cities with real mass transit tend to foster. While there aren't any special guest celebrities in the new piece, it's a welcome addition to the Low ouvre and typical for the band whose music has a certain level of cinematic depth, allowing them to once again fuse the mediums so effectively.

Low are also getting ready to take the family back out on the road for a month of U.S. dates, starting in Winona, MN on Labor Day. There hasn't been a Twin Cities date announced yet, but they will be wrapping things up on their home turf in Duluth, MN for a benefit concert for Life House, the at-risk youth center in Duluth the band has supported in the past.
