Mason Jennings took to the airwaves this week to debut some new songs on the Current's Morning Show, the first glimpse he's provided of his forthcoming full-legth, Minnesota. He performed two piano-centric songs off the album this morning, "Raindrops on the Kitchen Floor" and "Clutch," which he says "encapsulates the whole record in one song."

Jennings has a busy couple of months planned as he gears up to release Minnesota on September 13; he's planning a "top-secret" mini-tour of Minnesota that will bring him around the state for a series of intimate shows, plus he will sing the National Anthem at the Twins game on September 7 and perform an in-store at the Electric Fetus on Sunday, September 11 (pre-order the album through the Fetus to receive a ticket).

Fun fact: One of the tracks on the new record features Jason Schwartzman playing a toy piano.
