We've been posting all kinds of SoundTown coverage leading up to this weekend's festival, and today our SoundTown Series moves into the print edition for an interview with the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, who talked to Natalie Gallagher about why he likes playing festivals and why he has a giant gummy skull in his fridge (don't ask). Read the full interview here.

SoundTown isn't the only thing happening this weekend -- back in Minneapolis, minimalist synth trio CLAPS are releasing their full-length record Wreck with a show at the Hexagon Bar. Jeff Gage caught up with the group for an interview about their unique sound, which you can check out online here.

And for more on concerts in the Twin Cities this weekend, check out our Critics' Picks section featuring previews of the Janet Jackson show, the West Bank Music Festival, George Clinton, and more.
