M.anifest debuts 'Ghana-must-go' on Gimme Noise in advance of Saturday's release show
To give fans a preview of the record, M.anifest is offering up a stream of the first track, "Ghana-must-go," exclusively on Gimme Noise, along with some info about the song and the new album.
Produced by M.anifest's longtime collaborator Budo, "Ghana-must-go" also features vocals from Black Blondie's Samahra Daly, who is on two different tracks on Immigrant Chronicles. "Ghana-must-go" is a reference to "a brand of infamous raffia bags often used by immigrants from Africa" that gained popularity in the '70s and are still one of the more popular and affordable traveling necessities for West African immigrants and has since been appropriated by high-end designers like Louise Vuitton.

Immigrant Chronicles: Coming to America will be in stores and available online tomorrow. M.anifest will play an album release show this Saturday, September 24, at the Fine Line Music Cafe with MaLLy, I.B.E., Toki Wright, and DJ Last Word. More info here, or check out the flyer below.
