Paul Simon at First Avenue last May
It's been an onslaught of 9/11-related material this week, but here's the saddest/only video you really need to see: Paul Simon singing "The Sound of Silence" at Ground Zero yesterday as part of the 10-year anniversary memorial services honoring the lives lost in New York City.

The song was the much-agreed-upon highlight of both of his shows in the Twin Cities this past May, but while he remained composed and joyous throughout the moving performances of the song here, he seems downright devastated to be playing it under such sad circumstances in New York.

Can someone please hand me a tissue? I think there's something in my eye.
