Doomtree announces Blowout Week: 7 back-to-back nights at First Ave and 7th St. Entry this December

You may remember last year, when Doomtree's two-night Blowout VI happened to coincide with one of the worst snowstorms in our state's history -- you know the one, the Blizzard Monstrosity of 2010 that brought snowfall so heavy it took out the Metrodome's roof. The crew took it in stride, though, and practically took up residency inside First Avenue to keep performing and added on an extra show to entertain those who couldn't trek through the couple feet of snow that blanketed the metro area.
So we know they're tough, but we didn't realize that they were SEVEN NIGHTS IN A ROW tough. Come this December, the seven-member Doomtree crew will occupy the 7th St. Entry for five back-to-back nights (with each night curated by one of their MCs) before moving into the Mainroom for another two-night Blowout, making it the largest unified gig the long-running Twin Cities hip-hop staples will have ever performed.
This is Atmosphere playing seven straight nights in the Entry big. Mark Mallman playing for 78 hours big. In other words, this is so totally going in our Year in Music issue this year.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, October 15, at noon, or you can attend an in-person presale this Friday from 4-6 p.m. at First Ave's restaurant, the Depot Tavern, where the crew of overachievers will be doling out advance tickets themselves.
