Guided By Voices classic line-up announces first new album since '96
Low-fi legends Guided By Voices just can't stay in retirement.

GBV have announced plans for the release of a new album, Let's go eat the factory, slated to come out January 1, 2012.
This will the GBV classic '90s lineup's first new release since Under The Bushes, Under The Stars in 1996.
From the sounds of things, GBV isn't straying from its roots. According to PASTE, the whole album was recorded in band members' living rooms, basements, and garages.
There's no talk of a tour yet, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.
