High on Stress frontman Nick Leet has been a Minneapolitan for many years now, but he isn't shy about his love for his hometown of Minot, North Dakota. Unfortunately, that town has been the site of some serious flooding this year, and Leet was quick to organize a fundraiser show at the Turf Club this summer to help raise money for his troubled town. He also brought his band back to Minot to a record a new video for their new single, "These Days are Gone," which we're happy to debut exclusively here on Gimme Noise.

The track is off High on Stress's forthcoming album, Living is a Dying Art, which they are releasing on November 18 the Amsterdam Bar & Hall at a show with the Rockford Mules and Little Man. The video was filmed and edited by Brent Braniff, and features Minot bar the Blue Rider and some footage of the flooding in the area.

"We played a show the night before, drove five hours, played a record store instore and shot the video on one hour of sleep," Leet says. "Played later that night too. I'm not sure I've recovered yet and that was April."

Leet also divulged that one of the tracks on the new album, "Head," features Caitlin Cary of Whiskeytown on violin, a fitting addition to their alt-country sound.
