As part of an effort to bring national music acts to their campus, Macalester College will host a show next Tuesday, November 22 with an airtight lineup of indie- and electro-pop bands, including headlining Melbourne collective Architecture in Helsinki, Dom, and Lo-Fi-Fnk.
"The show is 5 bucks for college students and 10 bucks for general public, as we are trying to keep it as affordable as possible for people," says Mickey Davis, the Concerts and Festivals Coordinator for Macalester College. Davis says he lobbied, along with fellow student Noah Koch, to have the funds allocated to book larger acts on campus. "It feels great to be able to put on a show of this caliber and magnitude," they both agreed.

Davis and Koch have brought in a few notable acts this fall already: In September, Macelester hosted a concert by Maps and Atlases, while October saw a show by Poison Control Center. But next week's Architecture in Helsinki gig will be their largest show by far.
In honor of this cool new addition to the concert community, Gimme Noise is giving away a pair of tickets to next week's show (note to Macalester students: no need to enter, as you already get in free). To enter the ticket giveaway, simply complete these two steps:
"Like" us on Facebook, which you can do right here (if you already "Like us," you're halfway there!):2.
Leave a comment below telling us why you want to see Architecture in Helsinki, Dom, and Lo-Fi-Fnk at Macalester. (Be sure to leave a working email address in the proper field
when you comment, as this is how we will contact our winners. Your contact information will not be used for any other purpose.)
