Jeff Mangum announces show at Pantages Theatre on February 4th

• Got no problem with your criticism. Just your snide rage and weak showmanship. Claiming you're not invested doesn't fly when you're the one who first dragged out kicked-grandmas and all-caps demands. Even if it's just to wring some pleasure out of angering the internet, it's obvious you care a bunch. Good luck, fella.

• Keep drilling it into the ground, buddy. I stand by my snide criticism. It's funny watching you get all worked up. I can live with being obnoxious.

• You wrote a snide criticism of Mangum's music and his following. You were called an idiot (again, the only negative part of the response to your OP), and in response you became hyperbolic and defensive. I stand by my original assessment. Claiming your obnoxiousness is situational doesn't make it any less obnoxious.

• Oh, I can take it. I just choose from who and how much. I didn't call anyone an idiot.

• Compare "You are an idiot," which is the only negative thing Chad said, to the entirety of your post. Which of you two seems to be the most offensive and obnoxious? You have an opinion, and you expressed it pretty well and pretty fairly in your response to Chad. But you chose to start things off by taking on a mocking, snide tone that you knew would upset anyone who appreciated Mangum's music. Then you cloaked yourself in a reactionary "whoa, what've I done to deserve THIS??" attitude. You're the definition of one who dishes it out, but can't take it.

• Thanks to Chad and late night email browsing, I get to see Jeff!  Tres excited, with a capital T.

• An idiot with an opinion that does not match yours. I just do not get why his songwriting is so special. That's all. Did I insult your Grandma or kick your dog? No. Sometimes people buy into someone's gig more for the supposed chaos and mystery that surrounds the person and not what is actually coming out of their mouths. SETTLE!

• You are an idiot. I live in St. Paul and flew to NJ to see him last month. Worth every penny I paid. I will skip the Minneapolis show to give everyone else the chance to see him.

• Oh, look at Jeff all crazy and pensive in his plaid shirt with a gnome on his head. Alone in the woods. If that is how he channels his music. Is that how we measure genius? It all makes sense and is still unremarkable. Zzz...
