Trampled By Turtles and Motion City Soundtrack cover each other on new split 7"

​Talk about Minnesota Nice. There is an unlikely new split 7" about to be released by much loved (but wildly different) Minnesota bands Trampled By Turtles and Motion City Soundtrack. The 7-inch features the Turtles tackling the MCS track "Disappear," and the Motion City boys returning the favor by taking on TBT's "Wait So Long." The 7-inch will be released by MCS' newly formed label The Boombox Generation, and Trampled By Turtles' own Banjo Dad Records. There will be some limited-edition blue vinyl 7-inches available soon through both the Trampled By Turtles and Motion City Sountrack webstores. Some select independent music retailers will also sell the record beginning on November 21st, and TBT will have some available at select tour dates while supplies last. The split will also be made available digitally as well. If you want to hear the songs now, Rolling Stone currently has a stream of both the tracks up on their site.
