Minneapolis indie-pop trio Now, Now (formerly Now, Now Every Children) have been quite busy putting the finishing touches on their sophomore record, Threads, and have now found a famous home for its release. The album will be put out by Trans-Records on March 6, a label started by Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla, who became a big fan of the band following the release of their 2009 debut, Cars.

The group recently swelled to a trio, with the addition of guitarist/vocalist Jess Abbott to the original line-up of Cacie Dalager (guitar/vocals) and Brad Hale (drums/synth). After Abbott relocated from Maine to the Twin Cities to begin writing and playing with the band full-time, they set off this past summer to record their new record in Vacouver, BC with renowned producer Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, New Pornographers, An Horse).

Now, Now poured everything they had into making this record, and from the sound of their irresistible first single, "Dead Oaks," the catchy guitar hooks and tender vocals are still present, just imbued with the added benefits of experience and growth, as well as the additional sonic textures from having an added member of the band.

Now, Now plan to tour Threads extensively in 2012, including a stop at SXSW, where they originally bonded with Walla during last year's festival. The band is quite proud of their new record, and can't wait to share these songs with their fans. Hopefully, they won't wait too long to bring their new lineup and live show back to the Twin Cities to let us all hear how far they have come as a band, and where they are heading in the future.
