Brother Ali on losing his father and Eyedea during one tour
![]() |
Initially, the discussion was regarding a Rhymefest Campaign Concert and fundraiser, and Ali spoke about his support for his friend's push to become Alderman.
But clearly, even several months after Eyedea's passing in October of 2010, the effects of the two very personal events still echo in his face and voice. "I fly home for two days and go to a funeral for my dad, and then fly back to Europe and I'm right back on tour like it never happened," he says, gravely. "And I fly home and we're burying my 28-year-old friend."
