De La Soul mark 25 years as an act at Cabooze show in April

| Keeping it going for 25 years might be tougher than a moon landing. |
The guys have not released a studio album since 2004's The Grind Date, but told HipHopSite.com that the long-gestating follow-up could be called You're Welcome, and will likely have some Prince Paul collaborations. Meanwhile, Maseo's DJ Conductor side project will feature collaborations with KRS-One, Freddie Foxxx, Mac Miller, Fashawn, and others, and there's another side project in the works called First Serve.
Regardless, the guys are hustling back onto the road this year, and it's likely that some of the You're Welcome material will figure in. Two undeniably dope snippets from upcoming projects that recently emerged, "Life is Great" and "Mr Big Mouph II" are below.
De La Soul. With More Than Lights, Devine Collection, Duenday, DJ Blunthead. $23-$35 9 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Cabooze, 917 Cedar Ave. S., Minneapolis. Click here.
