Observer Drift making chill waves with escapist debut

One of our favorite homegrown stories of 2012 is the luxurious dreamscape world of Collin Ward, AKA Observer Drift. The Bloomington-based one man band has just added a visual component to his arsenal in the form of a video for "Corridors," the title track from his recent album.

It begins with the suggestion "PLEASE WATCH IN HD." And why not? There's plenty charming about the level of care Ward and director Marc Spielman put into this clip, which zooms through countless idyllic outdoor scenes with Ward wrapped in stylish hoodies and all manners of smart coats. In the outdoors, the corridors are the wind and the trees and the bridges and the tops of buildings.

Based upon Jonathan Garrett's recent story on Ward's project, we already know that he's more of a basement project than a bedroom one, as the video depicts.
