The Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan: The extended interview

Irish rock group the Cranberries pulled out of their show at the Brick Thursday evening in Minneapolis only a few minutes before they were scheduled to perform.

The cancellation comes because lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has reportedly fallen ill. No further word on her condition, or any additional postponed dates have been posted at this time.

According to the Brick's Facebook page, the cancellation was announced not long after opening band Vintage Trouble played their set:
We're very sorry to say that due to unforeseen circumstances Dolores from The Cranberries is unable to perform tonight. We will be offering refunds beginning Monday, May 21 from point of purchase. On behalf of the band and everyone at The Brick, we apologize for this unfortunate situation.
As mentioned, this means that the Brick is offering up refunds for this show starting on Monday.

The Cranberries have not announced a makeup date at this time, but we will update this posting when we have more information.

Update:

Wow this is crazy to hear that they cancelled another show.  I drove 300 miles to Philly to see them earlier this month only to be horribly disappointed like so many others.  Its sad really.  I think I may have cried when the news was broken to me for the first time.  But now a second and third time?  Maybe they shouldn't schedule their shows so close together.  I don't know but what I do know is that it sucks to be a fan for nearly 20 years only to be slapped in the face the one and only chance I get to see them.

I know where she was before the show...Considering she was just fine then until around 9 pm...anyways best of luck to everyone who had tickets. ALOT of people in the GLBT community who were really excited about going were REALLY disappointed...considering they knew too...as a band that's successful in their ventures they should been able to pull it together. Sorry guys not trying to be mean but yea not classy!

I hate to say it, but I am completely disgusted with them. They screwed over Philly, not once, but twice. I'm not buying the excuses at all. Shame on them for lying. Especially the last one, claiming there was a family emergency. Guess they didn't think Philly was stupid enough to buy the "food poisoning" reason twice. They have treated their fans like crap...what a waste. I will never go to one of their concerts again. All of this from a band that I've loved for so many years...I'm over them.

Really, they cancelled again? I too flew in to see them.  I had a business trip on the East Coast and made a special trip from California to see them. The friends I was going to go with were able to find other friends to take my tickets.  I am trying to find confirmation of the second cancellation, but not finding anything but this post.  Do you have a link to a news article?

I had a feeling they were there.  Just because of the Irish thing.  I was in the bar around 6:30 or so.  If she was there for that long drinking even she would end up under the table I guess.  I drove 6 hours to see the concert.  Was in the front row and she was at Donovan's.  I should have just blown off the concert and stayed at the bar.  Wait a minute!
