Last December's Permed Out Showcase packed Honey in Northeast past capacity with rowdy rap fans eager to catch a whole show devoted to the producer crew and their various counterparts. This Friday, they're at it again, only they've expanded beyond the confines of the basement at Honey to the Cabooze, where it stands to get at least twice as buck as before.

The crew is comprised of producers Taylor Madrigal, Julian Fairbanks and Cory Grindberg and joined by MCs Chantz Erolin, 80H20, Bobby Raps, Ramiro X, Yakub, Big Dylan, Unfuh Qwittable, who each in turn have a number of sub-groups, plus multiple guests. If this seems hard to keep track of, it won't matter once they hit the stage in one massive stomp: Audio Perm is truly a collective and perform as a solid whole despite the chaos they bring to the stage. With a Soundset slot and several major opening spots already under their belts, the young and energetic rap squadron are making some major moves lately.

The show will also mark the release of the first proper album from the crew as a whole: While a pair of instrumental beat tapes from '09 and '10 served to highlight the core producer's individual work, Audio Perm's latest WeOutChea will be a representation of where the group has evolved. Featuring verses from Mike Mictlan, Freez, and Meta (who, along with Jason Anxious, opens the Showcase), among many others, the album is a statement that this is only the beginning. Expect there to be surprise guests throughout the course of the evening Friday.

In preparation for the showcase, Audio Perm has been dropping a new track every day this week via their Soundcloud page, highlighting the different rapper and producer combos that keep every song from the camp fresh.
