Soundset 2012 evacuated amid tornado watch
The majesty and the drama of Soundset 2012 gets a reverent treatment in a new video featuring some of the main stages' highlights and a bounty of hip-hop fans. Captured with some high-end equipment this is an eight-minute document of Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, Prof, Grieves, Danny Brown, and more of the primo entertainment from the day taken often mere inches away from the stage.
Filmed by Sean Phazes and Sean Paul G for ACGF, the footage is raw and vivid. There's an undercurrent of adult behavior that runs through it, so view with a bit of caution if you're in a work environment that might frown on that kind of thing. At the end, there's a hint of the madness that was to come when storms rolled through, but primarily the focus is on the day's musical muscle and the camaraderie that flourished.
