Even indie rock gets hit with down-sizing as younger, abler talents muscle into the marketplace and leave the previous generation for scrap. But Sugar/Hüsker Dü legend Bob Mould isn't going down without a fight.

For one, "The Descent" off Mould's forthcoming Silver Age is one of his most powerful rock songs in years, and puts his his wisdom and crunchy experience at the forefront. The accompanying video shows that Mould can equate his stake in life to that of a middle-aged businessman, and he's got a solution to the rat race.

Directed by Alicia J. Rose, the clip finds Mould looking extra dapper in his horn-rimmed specs and suit as he's exiting corporate life with all of his possessions. Next stop, the forest.

He'll perform both his 20-year-old Copper Blue album (released with Sugar) and Silver Age in their entirety at First avenue on September 15.
