Caravan du Nord 2012 tour lineup and schedule

Eight Minnesota cities flung to the far corners of the state will host the second-annual Caravan du Nord shows this fall. Last fall, Low, Trampled by Turtles, members of Doomtree, Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, Heiruspecs, and many more were among the acts visiting smaller communities outside the Twin Cities to promote the arts and put on workshops.

This year, the lineup -- assembled by the Minnesota Music Coalition and 89.3 the Current -- includes Mason Jennings, the 4onthefloor, Chastity Brown, Pert Near Sandstone, Haley Bonar, and several other acts who get ample, deserved attention in the local sphere. Sept. 22 - U of M, Morris - Haley Bonar and Chastity Brown. Tickets.

Sept. 29 - Reif Center, Grand Rapids - Halloween, Alaska and Rogue Valley. Tickets.

Oct. 4 - Center for the Arts, Fergus Falls - Tapes n' Tapes and Zoo Animal.

Oct. 19 - Shattuck's, Faribault - Pert Near Sandstone and Charlie Parr

Oct. 26 - Paramount, Austin - 4onthefloor and Me and My Arrow

Nov. 10 - Paramount, St. Cloud - Jeremy Messersmith and Caroline Smith and the Goodnight Sleeps

Nov. 16 - Holmes, Detroit Lakes - Mason Jennings and Caroline Smith and the Goodnight Sleeps

Nov. 17 - Sheldon, Red Wing - Mason Jennings and Fort Wilson Riot
