As the Twin Cities music scene grows, more and more artists are creating music that demands our attention. Combine the music with talented filmmakers locally and beyond, and you have a fruitful mix of distinct skills that generates more locally connected music videos than ever before.

While it's impossible to shine a spotlight on all of the great music video work going on around the area, Gimme Noise has created a new regular segment, Local Frames, which will help bring some much deserved attention to a few of the standout videos of the moment from local bands or those filmed by local directors.

Here's our third installment of Local Frames featuring eight recent video selections for your viewing pleasure.

The Hood Internet - "Won't F--- Us Over'

Celebrated Chicago mash-up duo the Hood Internet have been getting parties started for years now with their vibrant mixes, and now they are set to release their first album featuring their own original music. FEAT is due out on October 2, and "Won't F--- Us Over" is the first single from the new album. The video is directed by the seemingly omnipresent (or at the very least extremely busy) local Dan Huiting and written by Jacy Catlin. It features the acting skills of the Rosebuds' Kelly Crisp, as well as the vocals of BBU and Annie Hart, who sings the familiar chorus to the National's "Mr. November" over the fresh beats that the Hood Internet is laying down. The video captures what happens when a good party goes wrong, but hey, at least there were Funyuns.

The Pines - "All The While"

The new video for the Pines evocative "All The While" perfectly captures the isolation and newfound sense of freedom that is expressed in the lyrics and melody of the song. The clip was produced and directed by Jonathan Chapman, and features plenty of tranquil, bucolic nature shots while the subject of the video tries to start a new life for himself.

Grimes - "Genesis"

Claire Boucher's ties to the Twin Cities area are loose at best, with her ill-fated Tom & Huck journey down the Mississippi from Minneapolis undoubtedly her biggest local achievement as of yet. But as Grimes, Boucher is making a lot of waves in the national music scene. She just directed her own video for "Genesis," which features the young Canadian vocalist wielding swords and snakes with her friends (one of which is Brooke Candy) while the ethereal song soundtracks their madcap adventures.

Greg Grease - "Basement Soul"

Soulful Minneapolis MC Greg Grease continues to drop smooth hits this summer, and "Basement Soul" keeps that trend going. Grease's highly anticipated full-length album, Cornbread, Pearl & G, is set to be released this fall, and if this funky new track and video (which Grease directed along with Kale Eickhof Grease) is any indication, that record should be a big hit for local hip-hop fans in the Twin Cities and beyond.
