Right ahead of their storm on Lollapalooza this weekend, Minneapolis art-rockers Polica have some big news. First of all, the group's debut album Give You the Ghost will be reissued via Mom + Pop on August 14. And they've already got an artist page on the label's site.
The label has a roster featuring Andrew Bird, Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Metric, Sleeper Agent, and a wealth of other artists who benefit from the distribution heft of Sony Music Entertainment -- and the attention an indie label can provide. But wait, there's more! Purchase a copy of the album, and get a bonus EP featuring remixes of GYTG songs by artists such as cheery L.A. synth-rockers Gardens & Villa. Hear a sample track below.
Exitmusic, Aluxe and other artists are in on the remix game too, according to SPIN.
Aside from Polica's performance at Lollapalooza on Sunday, locals can check 'em out at the Cabooze's outdoor plaza on Saturday, August 11.
