weekendChecklist_560.jpg

Friday is the night of tribute shows. We Are Not Ween rocks the mainroom of First Avenue, while The Big Pink performs their annual homage to The Band's last show known as "The Last Waltz". If you're in St. Paul, stop by the Amsterdam to hear Jonny James & the Hall of Fames cover The Beatles' Abbey Road  in it's entirety. Saturday is packed with music the entire day. Knotfest begins to unleash mayhem around 1:30. The West Bank Music Festival commences around 3 and will be taking place around various Minneapolis venues. Don't forget to check out Icehouse and catch Mayda's set around 11.

The West Bank Music Festival is actually $5 for a wristband at the door while the outdoor stages are going (3 pm to 10 pm), $10 if you buy one at a venue after that.  There are no online/advance ticket sales.
