For anyone who thought Prince's revolutionary social commentary "Sign '☮' the Times" from 1987 needed a more provocative guitar part (we did not) Muse has stepped in to give the track a more jagged edge.

Ahead of this weekend's performance on Saturday Night Live to herald Tuesday's release of The 2nd Law (streaming over at SPIN), the fellas headed to BBC Radio One -- the second time this week we've heard something that would prick up the ears of local readers -- to record this cover of a guy who isn't exactly having a quiet week either.

U.S. dates have not yet been announced for Muse, but you can bet that following their run of Europe and Asia, the guys will likely be heading to North America in early 2013.
