Prince debuts afro hairstyle, talks Welcome 2 Chicago on The View

Yes, Prince has returned to his literal roots. Look back to his mid-'70s yearbook photo if you need a refresher, but the Purple One emerged with an afro to discuss his upcoming Welcome 2 Chicago shows in October (now there are three) on The View. As you might recall, he made a surprise appearance on the show two years ago to promote his Welcome 2 America dates.

In any case, this episode includes some shy discussion of Prince's vault of songs, his love for Bruce Springsteen's tight performance style, and a bit about why he connected with Van Jones for the Welcome 2 Chicago shows. Not enough Andy Allo talk for our taste, though. You also have to sit through Elizabeth Hasselbeck admitting that she left the Prince show she attended before it was over. Boo! Ex-Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura also appeared on the program

According to Star Tribune's Chris Riemenschneider, today also marked the debut of a new Prince song called "RnR Affair" on several R&B stations. Does that keyboard line sound more than a little bit like "Take Me With You" from Purple Rain? ~~We'll add a stream once it is available.~~

Prince, I hope your camp is searching the internet for illegal footage of you and come across this blog page. I have been a fan of your music since the early 80's and it is so disappointing that you do not allow your videos or music to be displayed on the internet!

Just know that times are changing and people no longer waiting in lines at the music store to purchase vinyl or cassettes. Music is moving in a new direction and know that when you die your music will too!
