As with any given weekend in the Twin Cities, there are a ton of great shows happening over the next few days. But one of the gigs with the best cause behind it is happening tonight at the Ritz Theater, as the Put A Rock On It: A Concert for the Freedom to Marry benefit is set to start at 7 p.m.
A terrific lineup of local bands are set to get your weekend off to a cracking start, as well as raising much needed funds for Minnesotans United for All Families. The cash bar at the Ritz will be stocked with plenty of local beers and wine, with delectable treats provided by Raspberry Bird Cake Pops.
The local bands lined up for the Put A Rock On It benefit are top notch, with Kill The Vultures, the Honeydogs, Bethany Larson & the Bee's Knees, Red Daughters, and the Beatifics all set to raise the spirits of the crowd while at the same time raising awareness for the cause.
Tickets for the all-ages event are $20, with ALL proceeds going directly to supporting Minnesotans United for All Families. You can purchase tickets online here, and there will also be cash only tickets available at the door as well.
So, come on out to the regal Ritz Theater in the heart of the arts district in Northeast Minneapolis tonight to hear some vibrant music as well as show your commitment to Voting NO on the marriage amendment in November. You can RSVP and find out more information on the event's Facebook page.
