Bruce Springsteen street signs unveiled in St. Paul

Xcel Energy Center's Facebook page
The moment has finally arrived. Joining the ranks of Dale, Wabasha, and Selby, there's a new intersection in St. Paul at the corner of the American dream and gritty work ethic. It's our own little Tenth Avenue -- well, actually West 7th Street -- freezeout. Yes, Bruce Springsteen's "Springsteen Rd." and "E Street" signs were dedicated with a proclamation (pictured above) in front of the Xcel Energy Center on Friday. This comes ahead of Sunday (reviewed here) and Monday's shows at the X.

Although Gimme Noise did not attend, the photos taken by the venue tell the story. It's not the size of the sign pole that counts, but how you use it. See below.

Bruce Springsteen gets own street, weekend in St. Paul

Earlier this week, St. Paul mayor Chris Coleman announced that November 9-12 is "Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Weekend in Saint Paul." At the ceremony, Kellogg Blvd. was renamed Springsteen Rd. and West 7th St. became E Street.

Unless the Boss was feeling camera shy, it appears that Springsteen didn't attend.

Bruce Springsteen plays the Xcel Energy Center Sunday, November 11, and Monday, November 12. Tickets here.
