As the Twin Cities music scene grows, more and more artists are creating music that demands our attention. Combine the music with talented filmmakers locally and beyond, and you have a fruitful mix of distinct skills that generates more locally connected music videos than ever before.

While it's impossible to shine a spotlight on all of the great music video work going on around the area, Gimme Noise has created a new regular segment, Local Frames, which will help bring some much deserved attention to a few of the standout videos of the moment from local bands or those filmed by local directors.

Here's our eleventh installment of Local Frames, featuring ten recent video selections for your viewing pleasure.

Solid Gold - "The Pendulum"

Ahead of their Record Release show at First Avenue for Eat Your Young on December 7, the core trio of Solid Gold dressed up for a grand buffet of exotic culinary treats and some fine alcohol. So it's no surprise when things get a little out of hand as the night wears on, with elements of Lord Of The Flies and A Clockwork Orange threaded within the images as the dinner turns a bit psychedelic. The striking clip was directed by Dan Huiting, and stems from a creative concept the band had themselves, providing a nice visual accompaniment to one of Solid Gold's best new songs.

Father John Misty - "I Love You, Honeybear"

After delighting a sold-out Fine Line on Halloween, Father John Misty also found time to shoot a couple acoustic City Of Music clips in Dan Huiting's apartment. "I Love You, Honeybear" is a brand new song, and finds Joshua Tillman delivering the expansive lyrics to the new track with a passionate intensity. The intimate clip was directed/shot/edited/mixed by the talented Trent Waterman, and portends good things from Tillman's follow-up to the excellent Fear Fun if and when that comes. You should also seek out Part 1 of Father John's City Of Music session, a stirring version of "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sleeps."

Wiping Out Thousands - This Came First release show

Those of you who weren't able to make it to Wiping Out Thousands' triumphant Record Release show at the Entry on November 2, can now catch the overall vibe and spirit of the night with this excellent comprehensive clip of the performance which was shot shot and produced by Kyle Morgan. The video features unguarded moments from Alaine Dickman and Taylor Nelson just before they hit the stage, as well as a medley of rousing tracks which the duo performed that night. You can download This Came First for free on the group's bandcamp page, and catch them playing live Saturday night at Cause as part of Night Two of BNLXFest.

L'Assassins - "Stop Loving Me (Live On Radio K)"

The talented girls in L'Assassins stopped by the Radio K studios recently to get everyone shaking with an infectious version of the kiss-off number, "Stop Loving Me." The group certainly got things cooking in the small studio, and fans of the band should really seek out the other spirited songs from this session. The video was shot by Amanda Reeder, Jerad Carrigan, and Aaron Niemiste, and edited by Jack Buckholz, with the audio recorded and mastered by Tanner Uselmann. L'Assassins are opening for New Wave legends Bow Wow Wow this Friday night at the Belmore in downtown Minneapolis.

All Eyes - "On The Sidelines"

Alicia Wiley's star-studded new band All Eyes recently stopped by the TPT studios to record a couple dreamy new songs for MN Original. This trippy clip, for "On The Sidelines," is a preview to the full episode (featuring another All Eyes tune) that will air sometime in early December. The video plays out like a kaleidoscopic Rorschach test, which perfectly suits the haunting, ethereal number itself. The track comes from All Eyes' debut full-length album, Shelf Life, which just came out on Tuesday.
