Why was Nelly in the Twin Cities this week?

Here's Nelly at Wednesday night's Timberwolves game at Target Center.

Nelly hopped up to our frigid state for a few days this week -- not to sign the "Hot Cheetos & Takis" stars the KIDS, but apparently to do some food-related business with General Mills. Based upon some tweets and photos from the rapper -- in between some incessant promotion for a new song called "Hey Porsche" -- the St. Lunatic really got around town!

Wednesday afternoon marked a trip to General Mills. The #MustBeTheHoney hashtag suggests that Honey Nut Cheerios could be getting an injection of Nelly's pimp juice into their marketing.

The following night, Nelly went to what a well-placed Hot Dish source (through a well-placed tipster pal at Riverfront Times) says coulda been Manny's for a fancy meal and dessert. If you didn't already think "Dilemma," we sure did. Ridic Instagram of that here.

According to local accounts and photos, Nelly watched the Timberwolves beat the Sixers from courtside Wednesday night, and was reportedly staying at the Graves 601 Hotel. He also was supposed to do a meet-and-greet...

Time will tell if the big G has some "Ride Wit Me" planned for their next Honey Nut Cheerios ad campaign, but we'll keep you posted.
