Well, what DO you know? Joe Mauer is keeping with tradition and T.I.'s "What You Know" remains the song we'll hear booming in Target Field when he walks to the plate in 2013.

Today on Twitter, Dustin Morse who is Director of Baseball Communications and Player Relations for the Minnesota Twins confirmed the move. This will not please local Twins and hip-hop fan Lars Larson, but some other folks probably are more sensitive to change.

From Twitter:
In an e-mail to Gimme Noise, Morse confirmed the move. "Wasn't even a question with Joe," he writes. "I pass out a sheet for the guys to fill out and I looked at him and just said 'you going with it again' and he nodded yes."

Also announced today, newly announced Twins center fielder Aaron Hicks is going with the Tupac-Dr. Dre collaboration "California Love."

And, Brian Dozier has a more countrified idea for his song.

The song rocks. Great bass line and triumphant sounding.
