The lite-rock stylings of Love 105 are no more. On Monday, April 1, the station became The Ticket, a CBS sports talk station.

This is the latest move for the frequency that once held alt-rock listeners with Rev 105, and has revamped several times since. The switch from Drive 105 to Love 105 occurred back in 2007, and then its parent company filed for bankruptcy two years later.

The move seems timed directly with the start of the Minnesota Twins' 2013 season, and the station leans heavily on national syndicated shows, including Jim Rome, John Feinstein, and Scott Ferrall.

As we receive more info, we'll update this post. Read the twisted history of the 105.1 FM frequency here, and check out The Ticket if you dare.

That's true. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Drive since it that station that got me and my dad to agree on tunes in the car.

Although I did like that Drive 105's "houseband" was Barenaked Ladies.

@Mike Green all you rubes worshiping the current and pining for REV105 make me laugh.

@Ryan Glenn Wasn't that the "houseband" of 104.1 the point? and that was so lame, just like BNL.

BNL: as bad as Jimmy Buffet, but without a stupid namesake restaurant.
