Even if 10 Thousand Sounds will be a golden experience, this is not the actual VIP wristband.
For the moderately significant or Rybak-level folks, the 10 Thousand Sounds VIP experience could be just the thing to enhance a splendid day of outdoor music.

With the pamperings of unlimited food, exclusive seating in the shade, an exclusive bar, and private restrooms, it will be that much easier to imbibe in the luxurious music of the Walkmen and the rest of the day's entertainment. Full details below.

The VIP areas: Two exclusive viewing spots -- one side-stage, and one featuring seating on a raised platform -- assure a versatile choice of vantage points. See every ray of sunshine kissing Free Energy's angellic faces up close, or retreat to the shade of umbrellas on an elevated deck to cool your heels.

The bar: Featuring a full array of the day's libations, the VIP bar area has shorter lines for expedited buzz enhancement and feelings of well-being. Always winner when paired with Strange Names' bubbly hit "Potential Wife."

Unlimited free food:
Courtesy of Pizza Luce, the catered experience will bolster your strength to bang your head along to the distorted brilliance of Prissy Clerks and nod thoughtfully as Greg Grease unpacks his complex rhymes.

Private bathrooms:
Need to check if your hair is still perfectly coiffed to keep up with the style and grace of 10 Thousand Sounds hosts the Chalice, duck into one of the exclusive private bathrooms in VIP to freshen up.

All of this can be yours for $45 per person. It includes admission to the 10 Thousand Sounds Afterparty at Mill City Nights. Plus, you will be entered into a drawing to win a limited edition festival poster designed by Burlesque of North America's Mike Davis. Purchase a VIP wristband here.

City Pages' 10 Thousand Sounds festival at 8th St. and Hennepin Ave. in downtown Minneapolis, 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturday, June 22. This is a 21+ event. The lineup includes the Walkmen, Free Energy, Greg Grease, Prissy Clerks, Strange Names, and hosts the Chalice.
