Anyone who witnessed Fancy Ray's spirited introduction of the Twin Cities Funk and Soul All-Stars at the Current's 8th birthday party, as well as his frequent interaction with them during the set, easily recognized that the self-proclaimed "best looking man in comedy" felt right at home amongst the musicians on stage and their Secret Stash Records cohorts.

Now that creative partnership has been made official, as Fancy Ray McCloney has just signed to Secret Stash, who will be putting out the charismatic performer's new album as well as an upcoming 7-inch single, all of which will feature Ray's ebullient comedy mixed with the smooth backing tracks featuring the funky Secret Stash house band, The Lakers.

Ray is planning on heading into the studio later this summer to record his new material for Secret Stash, along with label founder Eric Foss and producer John Miller. The results are bound to be unpredictable, entertaining, and one of a kind, just like Fancy Ray himself. My, my, my, indeed!

An initial 7-inch will whet the comedic appetite of Ray's longtime fans who have been laughing with him since the late '80s, while a forthcoming full-length will give the exuberant, outsized performer enough room to truly get loose along with the help of the Lakers.

Fancy Ray had this to say about his new creative partnership with Secret Stash: "I Love the cats at Secret Stash. They're smart, creative and put out great records! Them joining forces with Fancy Ray is a brilliant move. This is gonna be the ultimate party record -- comedy, music and inspiring/vibrational shifting. In other words -- It's gonna be a comedy record that will make you laugh and FEEL GOOD!"
