Cher unveils 2014 U.S. tour dates -- Minneapolis in June

Without a doubt, Cher is the mistress of the long goodbye. About a decade ago, it was thought that she was hanging it up with a so-called "farewell tour." Then it was discovered some three years later that her star was brighter and more profitable than ever.

If you're wondering why she occasioned to put Miley Cyrus on blast over the weekend, it could be because Cher is starting up the hype machine for another stadium run in 2014. The Dressed to Kill trek is in support of her latest album, Closer to the Truth, out this week.

The album's first single, "Woman's World," shows that the bond formed when she held Lady Gaga's meat purse extends to a similar creative direction. Another anthem for "Believe" devotees as opposed to "I Got You Babe."

Cher brings the spectacle to our local community on June 11 when the tour touches down at Target Center in Minneapolis. Here's the rest of the itinerary:

I still have nightmares about when I was a newbie photog and my battery died just before Cher hit the stage at the Target Center. Maybe this will be my chance to redeem myself.

And all of the photoshoppers in the world simultaneously collapse in exhaustion after working on this picture.
