The Minnesota Music Coalition has something planned for all types of music lovers during its three-day MN Music Summit in St. Paul this April. The third annual festival celebrating all aspects of the music industry will run from April 10-12, with unique, informative events planned, including artist and industry workshops, panels, and social gatherings to connect and inform music insiders, bands, and fans, along with performances from GRRRL PRTY, the Honeydogs, Southwire, and more.

The 2014 MN Music Summit begins with a social hour hosted by Summit Brewery on Thursday, April 10, from 6-8 p.m. Musicians, fans, and industry professionals will have the opportunity to connect and network with each other over free food and beer, while engaging in informative discussions about music that will continue to be fostered over the summit's next few days of events.

The keynote address will be delivered on Friday, April 11, by Casey Rae from the Future of Music Coalition, a nonprofit out of Washington, D.C., that advocates for better policies and laws that benefit and help sustain musicians. In addition to Rae's presentation, there will also be plenty of music-related workshops and mentoring sessions at McNally Smith College of Music throughout the afternoon.

The festivities on Friday will come to a rousing end with an all-ages show at Amsterdam Bar and Hall, featuring local bands and musicians selected by the MMC, along with headliners GRRRL PRTY.

Saturday, April 12, is another full day of panels, mentoring sessions, and workshops at McNally Smith. The MN Music Summit will then come to a close with a happy hour at Amsterdam from 6-7 p.m., followed by a concert featuring the Honeydogs, Southwire, and opener Ana Tuiran, a young singer-songwriter personally chosen by Adam Levy to get the show started.

All daytime events scheduled as part of the MN Music Summit are free, and every event is all-ages.
