The 42nd annual Twin Cities Pride weekend is brimming with live entertainment. On the weekend of June 28-29, more than 80 artists will take over Loring Park for a series of concerts on four stages. The centerpiece of the celebration is Saturday's Pride in Concert show, featuring Australian pop sensation Betty Who, who put on an electrifying show at 7th St Entry earlier this year.

Joining Who will be gay country star Steve Grand, disco great Thelma Houston, and former Snap! vocalist Thea Austin, aka the featured voice on "Rhythm is a Dancer." On the free stages is an eclectic mix of local talent including Toki Wright, Pennyroyal, the Lioness, Hollow Boys, and countless others blending two days of hip-hop, rock, folk, soul, and more. I've head of Reina del Cid, but aside from that: who are these people? And how at a pride event is a local band named "Gay Witch Abortion" nowhere to be found?

I feel like if it was peaches she would be in the show you have to pay for. With that tho we should start a petition to try to get the promoters to get the Actual Peaches to come!

I was checking Peaches' website and Facebook page. There was no mention of a show here for Pridefest. I suspect a typo or some moron didn't use google for a drag queen name.

Something in the milk ain't clean about this Peaches listing. Is this the cream feelin', bush impeachin', Teaches of Peaches or is it some poor unfortunate soul who didn't do a Google search before they chose their drag name?

Well, at least you got Mayda on there... The list makes me wonder if there will be any pregnant women there with hipster boyfriends bragging about how he "liked her WAY before she got big."

Bailey Johnson since you always go, I thought this might interest you.

For a city and community with a storied diverse musical background, it is disappointing that the majority of the headliners have not only performed and headlined multiple local Pride events before but they are also not local or LGBTQ; just allies from faraway places. Is TCP just going to be another downtown mixed event from now on or what? I would like to see at least one or two legitimate, local, LGBTQ headliners going forward. It's not a local LGBTQ Pride festival if our local LGBTQ performers are relegated to only minor supporting roles.

I want to know more about Peaches!!!!!!  Is it a DJ set of is she preforming cuz either way..... I'm headed to the Stonewall stage at 5:00 PM!!!!  What else is in the teaches of peaches.....
